Blame it on the Moondog

Well, if you were in the walkway at about 6 pm, you probably had some nostalgia for last year... or the feeling that you had been transformed, Kafka-style, into a sardine! Things got very crowded in the walkway as three stand-by films, two emptying theaters, and a whole crowd of revelers heading for the Moondog Coronation Ball all collided. Everybody kept their aplomb and it all worked out, so thank you again for being the most awesome, patient Festival crowd anywhere ever.

I just watched (and tried to shoot, with my sadly deficient little camera) the lights on Terminal Tower go out. There's a little halo of light left at the top, to warn passing planes away, but everything else went dark! From where I was watching, it was a bit like the tower disappeared from the sky altogether.

I wandered around downstairs for a while, too, and watched the crowd from Ohio Shorts emerge. That was an enormous crowd, just on its own!

And speaking of crowds, if you're going to tonight's 10% Cinema screening and would be interested in partying with the cast and crew of some of the films afterward, they're throwing a gathering at Bounce after the screening finishes. Head on over and you can hang out with Cleveland's own Brian Patacca, star of The In-Between. I met him just a little while ago and he's definitely someone you don't want a miss a chance to get to know!

We still have a whole lot of films left tonight, so have a phenomenal time!
