Meet Jorge Alejandro Fegan, one of the directors of Riff Raff, which ran earlier this week in the Festival. Jorge is a student at the Instituto Superior Technologico de Cine y Actuacion in Quito, Ecuador, along with the other directors in the film. He and his fellow students had been writing their short films for their school projects when, realizing how closely-connected the themes of their stories were, they decided to combine their efforts into one feature-length work. It's the first film of its kind for Ecuador, and is revolutionizing the film community there (and polarizing it a little, too). If you enjoyed the film during its run, this is a great chance to look into the mind of one of its creators.
