You know, there are two types of broken records: the ones that have a little scratch on them that causes them to skip over the same little phrase of music again and again and again, and the ones that are completely smashed. We've got both!
We just had our biggest Tuesday ever! Last year, we set a new record with 4,463 attendees and we were totally amazed. Now we've broken that record -- which I've found myself saying day after day after day here! -- with 4,725 attendees! I'm running out of hyperbole to describe you guys, seriously! You're making all of it inadequate.
The Challenge Match is up to $21,000, too. That's very cool, and if you all keep going the way you have been, we'll have met the challenge -- $35,000 -- by Sunday night! Nope, still not finding any adequate words for this. You just rock.
By the way, check out Page 26 of today's edition of Scene. Our own Tim Smith has been spotlit as the city's best urban farmer! Stop by his greeting desk in the walkway and tell him how awesome he is!
Which brings me to one more heads-up for the day -- it's cold in the walkway! Many of you already know that, but today it may be really cold because one of RTA's furnaces broke and they're working on fixing it. Hopefully things will warm up soon, but if you're planning on standing in our lines, bring a sweater or a jacket with you, or stop by our merchandise counter and get one of our snazzy CIFF sweatshirts. Spring may be here but I know I always get at least one more cold after the equinox, and I don't want you to get one while you're trying to enjoy the Festival.
