Just a little incensed!

Well, I thought my last blog post was the last for the night, but I was wrong. As I was leaving the Hospitality HQ, I could have sworn I smelled incense. And as I walked through the Skylight Concourse, there seemed to be a hint of smoke in the air. Apparently I'd missed some excitement.

According to Blake, the Hospitality HQ's wonderful doorman/greeter, at around 9 pm tonight someone set fire to one of the plants in one of Tower City Center's upper levels. He thinks it was probably a lit cigarette that someone tossed into a planter, and which caught the mulch on fire, but he wasn't completely sure of all of the details. The fire department had it put out quickly and, as far as we know, nobody had to be evacuated from the building. Other than a few moments of excitement and a little lingering smoke that made the place smell like my college dorm room back during my Hippie Chick days, there probably wasn't any sign at all for Festival-goers.

When I reached the fountain, I couldn't even smell it, so I'll bet most of you didn't even notice it when you were leaving the building. But if you passed through the upper levels on your way home and wondered who was burning incense, now you know.
