I'm running so late with this! But if you have a break in your schedule today or tomorrow, and want to catch some cool panel discussions, CSU is holding a series of them this weekend and many of our guests are speaking there. The first panel in the series -- "The Real Story - Documentary Filmmaking" -- just got underway and runs through 12:30 pm. Later today, at 1:00, there will be a panel about the production process of filmmaking, and then at 3:00, there will be a discussion of actually getting your film on the screen once you've made it. The panels are free, so if you're one of my "impoverished student filmmaker" friends, the only excuse you have for not being there is if you've got tickets to a film here!
Tomorrow they'll have two more panels, one about Women's Stories at noon, and one about International Filmmaking at 2:00 pm. Again, the only excuse for not going there, guys, is if you already have film tickets here!
The panels are held in CSU's Music and Communication building, at 2001 Euclid Avenue in the MU107 auditorium. If you take the Health Line from public square, just get off at the 19th Street exit and head for the building with the wacky pyramids. (I've taken so many classes in that building!)
It's going to be a wild and wonderful weekend, so have a great time, both here and there!
