So I go back to college tomorrow. I feel like I just came back home, and saw my first film. Vacations always go by quickly, but the Film Festival seems to go by even faster. This being my final entry I really want to just say thank you to everyone involved in this incredible event. This opportunity and the time I have spent down here has been really wonderful and inspiring. I'm super excited to go back to school and convince all of my friends to come into Cleveland for some movies next year. Everyone I have worked and interacted with, from volunteers to the higher-ups have been extremely personable, helpful, and thoughtful about what these 11 days really mean.
Today, while getting ready to watch
Between the Folds, Burt Milter came up to me to have our daily conversation. This man is someone I didn't know existed ten days ago and now I talk to him for at least 20 minutes every day. His knowledge of cinema, Cleveland, and the Film Festival is awe-inspiring. Today he was extremely excited, "Can you believe it, two full theaters, for a film about origami, right here in Cleveland!" You're right Burt, it is all happening, right here in Cleveland. I think the festival's slogan this year was especially fitting. I do feel that it's starting here, something exciting, something powerful. So thank you all. It's been a wonderful trip.
Josh is a Freshman at Oberlin College, and a Cleveland native.
