The End of the World is just the beginning...
...for local filmmaker Mike Wendt, whose first film, the documentary The End (of the World As We Knew It), made its debut today. Mike has actually been involved with the Film Festival for several years, and has been serving as the Print Traffic Coordinator for short films, so he's no stranger to the Festival. But this is the first time that he's been one of its guests, switching from the usual staff tag to the green Guest tag!
It's been an emotional day for Mike, and a very special day for all of us. Daily editor Laura Blake spent a few minutes in our media hub talking with him, and with one of his production partners, about this milestone in his life.
