We're coming up on our final round of films this Festival, and that's an extremely bittersweet feeling. I'm going to miss this so much! At least I can come back and do it all again next year. And yes, I may well sleep for a week afterward.
Our round kicks off at 7:00 with Eagle vs. Shark, our official Closing Night Film. It'll be shown in two theaters, and it's already on Stand-By, so make sure you get here early for the best chance of seats!
(And to everybody who had to be turned away from the packed showings of The Ten in our last round, we are so sorry. Thank you for your courtesy and understanding, and for being such good sports.)
At 7:15, we'll be giving an encore presentation of Darius Goes West, which has also gone on Stand-By. Sway will also begin at the same time, and then at 7:30, our final film of the night (and the festival), Three Comrades will begin screening.
Afterwards, we'll all be on our way over to the English Oak Room for the Closing Night Reception, presented by Key Bank and NewsChannel 5. That officially kicks off at 9:00 PM, and our competition winners will be announced, along with our final Challenge Match tally. There will also be a Reception Post-Party at 10:30 at the Renaissance Hotel Bar.
I hope to keep going with the blog for a while, although not at this kind of pace, posting pictures and stories from the Festival that I didn't have a chance to explore or collect during the rush. Thank you for making the 31st Cleveland International Film Festival an enormous success! Join us for the closing night celebrations, and start planning to do it all again with us next year!
I'm already marking my calendar.
