Jury Duty (Le Septieme Jure)

  (login to rate)

What would you do if you got away with a crime, but had to serve on the jury when someone else is accused of it? Gregory Duval was a reputable pharmacist in a small French town. While fishing one day, he heard shouting and decided to investigate. He entered a barn after seeing a man leave and he found a beautiful, young woman half undressed. Something came over Gregory and he tried to have his way with her. As she struggled and screamed, Gregory became frantic and murdered the young woman. Within a day, a suspect was arrested and charged with the murder. It just so happens that the suspect is the same man Gregory saw leaving the barn. To make matters worse, Gregory has been picked to be on the jury. During the trial, Gregory must decide whether to save an innocent man or save himself and his family. Although serving on JURY DUTY is looked at as a respectable privilege, Gregory takes on an internal fight with his conscience. By the end of the trial, who will be charged with the murder of the innocent country girl? (In French with English subtitles) – L.W.
