Set in Egypt in the 18th century, the fourteen-year-old beautiful Princess Akhesa has no idea she will one day rule the country. Wanting to be seen as a “normal girl,” she disobeys her father and leaves the palace. Amid an ancient traffic jam, Akhesa meets the charming Prince Tut. (What she doesn’t know is that Tut was on his way to her palace to ask her to marry him.) They don’t get along immediately, but with his help she soon runs away to seek the truth as to why her mother was sent to Elephantine Island. The two teenagers travel down the Nile River and overcome many obstacles. However, their biggest test is facing the mighty mercenary Zannanza. Through their incredible journey, Akhesa and Tut form a strong bond and experience great respect for each other. The two heroes have fun and learn many lessons while on their adventurous voyage. PRINCESS OF THE SUN is a wild and humorous animated ride about two innocent teens who encounter an amazing destiny that will connect them forever. (In French with English subtitles)—L.W.
