34th Cleveland International Film Festival Awards
Three Jurors Select Winners of the awards listed below. The shorts are screened and the filmmakers are recognized
during this special program. Each award includes a $1,000 cash prize or the equivalent in cash and Kodak film stock. The Best Animated Short Film Award winner
and the Best Live Action Short Film Award winner will qualify for consideration in the Short Films category of the annual Academy Awards®.

Architect and entrepreneur Jennifer Coleman is president of Jennifer Coleman Creative LLC, which is dedicated to
improving life in the city through smart design. She is also the founder and CEO of CityProwl, which produces urban
walking-tours that can be downloaded from the internet to digital media players for self-led tours, which were launched
in Cleveland and will be available nationwide in 2010. An avid civic volunteer, Ms. Coleman is a member of the Ohio Board
of Building Standards and chairs the Cleveland Landmarks Commission and the Downtown/Flats Design Review Committee. Ms.
Coleman holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University. She lives with her husband, August Fluker, and
their son, Cole, in Cleveland.
John Corlett has spent nearly 30 years as an advocate for women, children, families, and other groups. He currently
serves as Vice President for Governmental Relations and Community Affairs with The MetroHealth System. Prior to this he
served as Director of the State of Ohio's $12 billion Medicaid program. He has also served as a Senior Fellow with the Center
for Community Solutions. John has been a resident of the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood of Cleveland for 16 years. He enjoys
buying the work of Cleveland area artists and cooking for friends and family. The first Cleveland International Film Festival
film John remembers seeing was "The Times of Harvey Milk" in 1984.
Charlie Lawrence is President and CEO of The Music Settlement in Cleveland's University Circle. Mr. Lawrence was previously
the Executive Director of The Fine Arts Association in Willoughby, Ohio from 1998 to 2007, and a Lecturer and Designer for the
Department of Theatre and Dance at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland from 1989 to 1998. He holds a Bachelor of Arts
degree from State University of New York at Fredonia in Sculpture and Art History and a Master of Nonprofit Organizations degree
from Case Western Reserve University. Mr. Lawrence is also a Fellow of the Executive Program for Non Profit Leaders, Stanford
University School of Business 2003. He lives in Cleveland Heights with his wife, Roxane, and has two sons and two stepdaughters.
