A comical whodunit, SMALL CRIME is set in a sleepy beach town on a remote Aegean island where villagers gather daily at the town café to watch television. The highlight of their viewing is a big city talk show hosted by island native Angeliki. Among the talk show's fans is Leonidas, the town's young and ambitious police officer who dreams of investigating important crimes. Unfortunately for Leonidas, nothing much happens on this island so he is relegated to menial police work. Then Zacharias, the town drunk, is found dead at the bottom of a cliff. Foul play is suspected and Leonidas must investigate. His detective work leads him to several clues tying the victim to Angeliki who returns to the island to assist with the investigation. As the mystery unravels, a romance develops between Leonidas and Angeliki. Each clue in the investigation leads the two lovers on a meandering yet breathtaking journey around the island. It seems that the case of Zacharias's death may never be solved, as everyone is suspect and each seems to have their own version of events leading up to the crime. (In Greek with subtitles) – B.K.
