Run Time: 100 minutes
Steamy summer days provide a languid backdrop for AUGUST, a story of sensual attraction that threatens a loving relationship. Jonathan and Raul (Daniel Dugan and Adrian Gonzalez, absolutely gorgeous) are L.A. partners on the verge of moving in together. Suddenly, Jonathan's ex, Troy, returns. Not too long ago, Troy broke Jonathan's heart, leaving him to pursue his architectural career in Barcelona. Troy (Murray Bartlett) is a magnetic but mysterious figure, and Jonathan's circle of friends is surprised to see him back in L.A. But soon it's obvious that Troy is trying to get Jonathan back. Jonathan is terrified he might lose control; he knows the effect Troy has on him. Meanwhile, Raul, a Latino who married Jonathan's friend Nina so he can stay in the U.S., is wary of Troy's motives. He's not going to give Jonathan up without a fight. Will Jonathan be able to withstand Troy's seductions and stay faithful to Raul? Things can't get much hotter than they are in AUGUST. – B.B.
