Pretty People

Year: 2011
Country: USA
Run Time: 28 minutes

According to the Screen Actors Guild report in 2005, 20% of Americans are living with a disability, making them the largest minority in the United States, while only 2% of roles on television and film portray a character with a disability. Pretty People features five actors with a physical disability, and they discuss how they have navigated their challenges in their careers as well as their hopes for the future. The film reveals the truth about the relationship between them and the media by conducting interviews with the actors and others in the film/television industry.
