The Lepidoctor, centers around an eccentric boy, Baxter, who is obsessed with collecting and fixing strange gadgets. The recent death of his mother however has taught him that some things cannot be repaired. In coping with this loss, Baxter becomes withdrawn. That is until one day while visiting a museum, Baxter comes across an exhibit made of thousands of dead butterflies. The crude manner in which the butterflies were pinned to the wall shakes Baxter to his core. Armed with his childish wit, naive courage, and a Victorian set of surgical instruments, Baxter embarks on a monumental journey that will help him accept the loss of his mother, reconnect with his father, and avenge the death of the butterflies.
