Run Time: 95 minutes
As the saying goes, the past will come back to haunt you. This couldn't be truer for Daniel and Mario, two men living with guilt over an incident that happened when they were kids. Daniel's father was set to marry Mario's mother, who had a daughter named Clara. One day the boys, who were often unkind to the little girl, bullied her into doing something that caused her death. Years later, Mario commits suicide, convinced his own daughter is the reincarnation of his sister. Daniel's wife, who's been wanting to adopt a child, decides they should take the girl, Julia, to live with them. Soon Daniel begins to think Mario was right. His wife finds that Julia's grandmother has also gone mad, treating the little girl as if she were her dead daughter. Are their conclusions just manifestations of their unresolved feelings? Or is the impossible really true: is Julia really Clara, here for revenge? CHILDISH GAMES is a nail-biting thriller that will have you guessing until the very end. (In Spanish with subtitles) – E.F.
