Run Time: 77 minutes
Who you gonna call if you’ve been kidnapped by a super villain named The Flea who’s holding you captive because your daddy runs a company that genetically modifies the environment? ANTBOY. Antboy’s alter ego is pudgy-faced Pelle, a 12-year-old Danish kid who’s so boring his classmates don’t even bother to pick on him. He worships perfect Amanda from afar. But when Pelle gets bitten by an ant with modified DNA, weird things start to happen. He has an uncontrollable urge to eat sugar. He can climb up walls and carry objects many times his size. Wilhelm, a comic geek in Pelle’s class, recognizes the power within him, and soon the boys embark on a crusade to help the citizens of their tidy town. Crazed biochemist Dr. Gæmelkrå (you can say it if you try) has a grudge against Amanda’s dad. When she suddenly disappears, it’s Antboy to the rescue! Don’t miss the first Danish superhero movie! (In Danish with subtitles) —B.B.
