Carousel $50.00 per guest

Friday, December 04, 2015 at 7:00 PM
Hosted by Lauren Rich Fine* and Gary Giller
Tickets Available: 40

We’ll be feeling nostalgic at this event at the Cleveland History Center where the star of the show will be the Euclid Beach Park Grand Carousel! Nearly 45 years after the Park’s closure, the carousel restoration is complete, and the magic of this beloved Cleveland icon is being enjoyed by a new generation.

We will welcome special guests John Frato, Euclid Beach Park Now President; John Grabowski, Senior Vice President & Krieger Mueller Historian; and Kelly Falcone-Hall, Western Reserve Historical Society President and CEO, as they walk us through the history of the carousel and how the restoration came to be. And this event would not be complete without taking a ride or two on the carousel’s colorful, hand-carved horses.

So embrace your inner child and join us for an evening of Cleveland history and carousel rides. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be provided.

We will meet at The Breen Center for the Performing Arts to snack on hors d’oeuvres and sip on beverages before gathering in front of the big screen in their state-of-the-art auditorium. Here’s how it works: we will show a series of short films, you will cast your votes, and the top vote-getters will be guaranteed spots in the CIFF40 program line-up! That’s right – you get to decide what you and your fellow cinephiles will screen at this year’s CIFF.
