When is AGGIE available to stream?

CIFF Streams presents the Cleveland premiere of the online screening of AGGIE. AGGIE will be available to stream for four days, beginning on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 11:00 AM ET through 11:00 PM ET on Sunday, September 27, 2020. While AGGIE is available for streaming until 11:00 PM ET on Sunday, September 27, 2020, tickets must be purchased by 9:00 PM ET on Sunday, September 27, 2020. AGGIE cannot be streamed after 11:00 PM ET on September 27, 2020.

There will also be a live, moderated conversation with AGGIE director Catherine Gund and the documentary’s namesake, Aggie Gund, moderated by Jennifer Coleman, Program Director for Creative Culture and Arts at The George Gund Foundation, taking place on Sunday, September 27th at 2:00 PM ET. All ticket purchasers will be emailed a link to join the live conversation. Please note: you must have or create a free Zoom account to access the live conversation.

The film AGGIE will have closed captioning available and the live conversation will include a sign language interpreter.

  • If you purchased a streaming ticket for AGGIE prior to 11 AM ET on September 23, 2020 (24 hours before the viewing window opens), you will receive an emailed order confirmation within minutes of purchase. Twenty-four hours before the viewing window opens at 11:00 AM ET on September 24, 2020, you will receive your streaming access email containing your streaming access voucher code (for streaming films on Roku or Apple TV) and a "Watch Now" streaming access link (for streaming the film on all other devices). Be sure to check your spam/junk folder if you are unable to locate the email(s).

  • If you purchased a streaming ticket for AGGIE between 11:00 AM ET on September 23, 2020 and 9:00 PM ET on September 27, 2020, within a few minutes of purchase, you will receive an order confirmation email containing your streaming access voucher code (for streaming films on Roku or Apple TV) and a "Watch Now" streaming access link (for streaming the film on all other devices). Do I need to login to the CIFF Streams platform to access my streaming ticket for AGGIE?

No. If you're accessing the CIFF Streams platform from a computer, laptop, or tablet, click on the "Watch Online" link in your streaming access email when you're ready to watch. If you're accessing CIFF Streams through Apple TV or Roku, you will need to use the voucher code listed in your streaming access email when prompted to do so on the CIFF Streams app. There is no need to enter anything into the member login fields on the CIFF Streams platform.

What is the redemption window for streaming AGGIE?

You can also cast AGGIE to a smart TV via a Chromecast or Apple AirPlay device or connect a computer or laptop to your smart TV via an HDMI cord. How do I stream AGGIE on my Roku or Apple TV?

From a Roku TV or smart TV with a Roku device connected, search for the CIFF Streams channel from the Roku homepage and download the channel for free. Once the download is complete, select the CIFF Streams channel, follow the onscreen instructions for pairing, and enter the streaming voucher code you received in your streaming access email.Please note: If you already have the CIFF Streams app on your Roku, you should not have to download or pair the channel.

From an Apple TV, search for the CIFF Streams app in the App Store, and download the app for free. You must have a newer Apple TV device to access the CIFF Streams channel. Once the download is complete, select the CIFF Streams channel, follow the onscreen instructions for pairing, and enter the streaming voucher code you received in your streaming access email. Please note: If you already have the CIFF Streams app on your Apple TV, you should not have to download or pair the channel.

Why does video playback stall or not play smoothly?

The CIFF Streams streaming platform uses adaptive bitrate streaming which means the streaming quality will automatically adjust based on your internet speed. If your internet connection is poor or inconsistent you may experience problems during playback. If you’re on Wi-Fi, try moving closer to your router.
