The Cleveland International Film Festival promotes artistically and culturally significant film arts through education and exhibition to enrich the life of the community.
What is Stand By and how does it work?
Only a portion of available seats are sold in advance so we can save room for our passholders. Therefore, even for crowded films, we can often accommodate many patrons just before show time.
Numbered Stand By tickets are sold (cash or voucher only) beginning one hour before show time, outside the theater lobby at Stand By. (Be aware, a line sometimes forms earlier than this.) Then just before the film begins, Stand By ticket holders are admitted, in numerical order, on a space-available basis until the theater is full. Those who are not admitted receive a replacement voucher or refund. Cash or vouchers only; no checks or credit cards accepted.
Hint: buy your tickets early or, better yet, join at a passholder member level to avoid Stand By!
