How can I stream CIFF45 Streams films?
Once you have purchased CIFF45 Streams tickets or signed up for a passholder membership, you can stream CIFF45 Streams films and shorts programs using one of these methods:
Please note: Changing IP addresses while streaming prompts our platform to treat it as a potential act of piracy. Refrain from changing locations or internet connections mid-film or mid-shorts program as your streaming will be disrupted and you will be unable to continue streaming that film or shorts program. Please disable dynamic IP addresses and VPNs while streaming on the CIFF Streams platform as this will also result in being unable to stream CIFF45 Streams films and shorts programs.
How do I watch CIFF45 Streams on my TV?
You can stream CIFF45 films and shorts programs on your TV in one of two main ways:
Via the CIFF Streams App:
Via the CIFF Streams Platform on a web browser (we recommend Google Chrome or Safari):
As a passholder, how will I get my streaming access for CIFF45 Streams?
With the exception of Opening Night, passholders do not need to purchase or reserve tickets to CIFF45 Streams films and shorts programs. Once a passholder has created a password for their CIFF Streams passholder account, they will automatically be logged into their passholder account on the CIFF Streams platform and can begin on demand streaming via a web browser on a smartphone, tablet, or computer beginning on April 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM ET through 11:59 PM ET on April 20, 2021 on a first come, first served basis, until a film sells out. If passholders would like to stream CIFF45 Streams films via the CIFF Streams app for Roku or Apple TV devices, they will need to log into their CIFF Streams passholder account on the app (Roku) or pair the app to their CIFF Streams passholder account (Apple TV).
As a passholder, how do I activate my account for the CIFF Streams platform?
Non-member Passholders: Streaming access for non-member passholders (sponsors, screening team, filmmakers, and industry) is delivered by an "On Demand Invite" email with a "Join" link to activate their CIFF Streams passholder account. Click the "Join" link will take them directly to the passholder activation page on the CIFF Streams platform where they will create a password for their account via a web browser on their smartphone, tablet, or computer. Once they have created a password, they will automatically be logged into their passholder account on the CIFF Streams platform.
Member Passholders (Binge Watchers and Super Streamers): Streaming access to all CIFF45 Streams films and shorts programs is delivered to passholders members by email in one of two of emails: 1) a Streaming Access Notification email or 2) an Order Confirmation with Streaming Access.
Streaming Access Notification Email: Passholder members who place their membership order before 11:00 AM ET on April 6, 2021 will receive a Membership Order Confirmation email within minutes of purchase that does not contain streaming access. Instead they will receive a separate Streaming Access Notification email at approximately 11:00 AM ET on April 6, 2021 with a “CIFF STREAMS LOGIN” link to activate their passholder account on the CIFF Streams platform. The “CIFF STREAMS LOGIN” link will take them directly to the passholder activation page on the CIFF Streams platform where they will create a password for their account via a web browser on their smartphone, tablet, or computer. Once they have created a password, they will automatically be logged into their passholder account on the CIFF Streams platform.
Membership Order Confirmation (with Streaming Access): Passholder members who place their members order AFTER 11:00 AM ET on April 6, 2021 will receive a Membership Order Confirmation email within minutes of purchase that contains a “CIFF STREAMS LOGIN” link to activate their passholder account on the CIFF Streams platform. The “CIFF STREAMS LOGIN” link will take them directly to the passholder activation page on the CIFF Streams platform where they will create a password for their account via a web browser on their smartphone, tablet, or computer.
All passholders can begin streaming via a web browser on a smartphone, tablet, or computer on April 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM ET. If passholders would like to stream CIFF45 Streams films via the CIFF Streams app for Roku or Apple TV devices, they will need to log into their CIFF Streams passholder account on the app (Roku) or pair the app to their CIFF Streams passholder account (Apple TV) .
Passholder Members Please Note: Your member login for the CIFF website is different than your passholder login for the CIFF Streams platform. While you may have chosen the same email and password for both accounts, logging into your membership account on the CIFF website does not log you into your passholder account on the CIFF Streams platform or vice versa. Furthermore, resetting your password on the CIFF website will not reset your password for the CIFF Streams platform and vice versa. The login credentials for each account are not connected.
As a passholder, how do I log into the CIFF Streams platform?
Once you have activated your CIFF Streams passholder account by clicking on either the "CIFF STREAMS LOGIN" link from your Streaming Access email/Membership Order confirmation email (for passholder members) or the "Join" link from the On Demand Invite" email (for non-member passholders) and creating a password for your account, you can login directly to the CIFF Streams Platform. When logging in to the CIFF Streams platform, make sure your email address is in all lowercase letters.
Member Passholders Please Note: Your member login for the CIFF website is different than your passholder login for the CIFF Streams platform.
As a passholder, how do I log into the CIFF Streams app on my Apple TV device?

Scheduled Screenings cannot be paused, stopped, or rewound. All other CIFF45 Streams films and shorts programs can be temporarily paused or rewound, but cannot be stopped and re-started or re-watched. Doing so will result in an inability to stream the film or shorts program. All CIFF45 Streams films and shorts programs can only be streamed in full once.
Please note: Changing internet connections (and therefore IP addresses) mid-stream prompts our streaming platform to view this as a potential act of piracy and will deactivate your streaming access for that film or shorts program. Refrain from changing locations or internet connections while streaming as the film will stop, and you will be unable to continue streaming.
Can I re-watch CIFF45 Streams films or shorts programs?
No. Tickets to CIFF45 Streams films and shorts programs can only be redeemed once and CIFF45 Streams passholder accounts are limited to one stream per film or shorts program, per account.
Can I use my CIFF membership credentials to log into the CIFF Streams platform?
No. Logging into the CIFF website does not log you into the CIFF Streams platform or vice versa, they are two different websites.
Ticket holders and Virtual Viewer members will be using their unique "Watch Online" streaming access link(s) and code(s) to access and stream the films they have purchased ticket(s) for on the CIFF Streams platform. Only passholders members at the Binge Watchers and Super Streamer levels will be creating a passholder account on the CIFF Streams platform. For Streams Support, email us with any questions or issues you encounter at streams@clevelandfilm.org or chat with us via our live chat feature on the CIFF website (look for the red chat bubble in the bottom corner of the screen) available daily during CIFF45 Streams (April 7-20, 2021) from 11:00 AM ET-11:00 PM ET.
We will troubleshoot any technical issues to the best of our abilities. While our Streams Support Team has a good working knowledge of the CIFF website and the CIFF Streams platform, we are unable to troubleshoot issue with or assist with, the set up of personal equipment, technologies, or internet infrastructures.
