PARDON MON AFFAIR, TOO

Last year's Festival-goers will never forget the incredibly funny adventures of the quartet of middle-aged pals in "Pardon Mon Affair" (or "An Elephant Can Be Enormously In the Way"). This sequel to that immensely popular film again shares the hilarious exploits of our heroes as they continue to solve their problems in the most absurd ways: Etienne (Jean Rochefort) shadowing his wife in order to uncover the other man; Daniel (Claude Brasseur) out of the closet as a homosexual and ready to marry a lesbian much older than himself; Simon (Guy Bedos) facing up to the death of his extremely possessive mother; and Bouly (Victor Lanoux) dealing with his impending divorce. Actor/director Yves Robert and his actress wife Daniele Delorme formed Les Productions de la Gueville more than 10 years ago to become independent filmmakers. Beside producing their own popular comedies, such as "The Tall Blond Man with One Black Shoe" (1972), they have sponsored many young directors trying to break into feature film production.
