SPECIAL EFFECTS IN THE CINEMA ( w/ guest Linwood G. Dunn, Special Effects Cinematographer)

Academy Award-winning special effects artist Linwood G. Dunn, ASC, Ph.D., will present his widely-acclaimed film lecture, "Special Effects in the Cinema." His program includes two hours of film clips of special effects selected from feature film and television productions, accumulated by Dunn during a career spanning more than 40 years. Dunn will discuss the various aspects of his art and will answer questions from the audience throughout the program.



Included in the program will be excerpts from the following films to which Dunn has made contributions: "West Side Story" (1961), "The Bible" (1966), "The Great Race" (1965), "Hawaii" (1966), "My Fair Lady" (1964), "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" (1963) and TV's "Star Trek"(1966).



Dunn invites all interested film buffs to attend a workshop-rap session that he will conduct Tuesday May 8 at Strosacker Auditorium from 10 a.m. to noon.
