Frank Capra invented a "child-man" character for Harry Langdon that made him a famous silent comedy actor. "Only God can help an elf like Langdon," Capra insisted. "Harry conquers all with his goodness." In THE STRONG MAN our dim-witted hero timidly goes about trying to win over the girl, despite the protests of her father.
