Bored and rebellious fourteen -year-old Lili has the mind of a child but the body of a voluptuous woman, which both men and boys are noticing. No one understands Lili. She hates everybody and everything, except nightclubs, where she can escape from her family and play at being grown up. On a summer beach holiday with her family, Lili meets the fortyish playboy Maurice. Precociously exerting her sexual powers, she drives the jaded and decadent Maurice to the point of exasperation by refusing to go all the way, a game which both attracts and repels her. Seen through Lili's eyes, 36 FILLETTE is the story of a young girl's coming of age.
