The notorious hit of many recent film festivals, A FLAME INMY HEART is a film about obsession -the obsessive love a North African has for the actress Mercedes, and in turn the obsession she develops for a journalist she picks up in a subway one night. Mercedes, transforming herself from victim to predator, desperately searches for love and affection. Her relationships are filled with tortured and torrid sexual encounters; the scenes of passion are shot in a manner which suggests their disturbing, obsessive nature. A FLAME IN MY HEART is an intriguing and haunting portrait of a woman immobilized by self-absorption. Due to the explicit nature of this film, no one under 18 will be admitted.
