Valerie, a bubbly, attractive manicurist who works at the "Curl Up & Dye" beauty salon is engaged to a handsome doctor, who claims to be suffering from "PMS - premarital stress" Actually, Ted is more interested in the voluptuous charms of a nurse and when Valerie finds them together her world is shattered. The unexpected crash landing of an alien spaceship into her pool revives her, though. Julien Temple (ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS) has created a cinematic bubblebath of a film, with Julie Brown, Geena Davis, and Jeff Goldblum giving fresh performances.
