Run Time: 93 minutes
This screamingly funny quasi-concert film stars stand-up comedian Steve Oedekerk, the Jerry Seinfeld from hell, as Thane Furrows, part time author of morbid books for children, full-time complainer. "I wish I were dead! I didn't ask for this! I didn't ask to be born!" he agonizes in his tidy apartment under the looming shadow of a publishing deadline. In a hilariously logical feature-length rant he vents his views on flies, the criminal justice system, gimmicky popsicles, pets, smokers, plane-crash cannibal etiquette, and Happy the Clam. Something important's going to befall Thane at 8:00 PM, though, and in the end his harangue assumes interdimensional proportions. You'll want to take notes!
