SATURDAY, SUNDAY, AND MONDAY

The inimitable Sophia Loren stars in this enchanting and lighthearted family drama, set near Naples in the 1930s. Rosa (Loren) and Peppino (Luca de Filippo) have been married for 30 years, and lead a comfortable, settled life together. One day, Peppino notices that Rosa has become distracted and distant. He comes to believe that there is only one reason for this change-another man. Peppino is certain that his rival is Professor Janniello, a man who frequently presents Rosa with sensuous gifts of culinary delicacies. When Rosa invites the Professor and his wife to spend the weekend at their home, Peppino's jealousy and suspicions get the best of him. And through it all, the family and the guests prepare Sunday dinner.
