ENCHANTED APRIL

Year: 1992
Country: United Kingdom
Run Time: 98 minutes

ENCHANTED APRIL is a classically British comedy about female rebellion set in the early 1920s. On a rainy winter day in London, Lottie and Rose, two married women, read a newspaper ad offering an Italian villa for rent during the month of April. The prospect is overwhelming and impossible, but to both women a chance to leave their dull live for a month becomes irresistible. Through their own ad they find two other women, one a wealthy Victorian widow, the other a beautiful young socialite, who will share their holiday expenses. Thus begins a journey to glorious Italy, without cares, without responsibilities, and without husbands ? at least for a while. The film will leave you in no doubt of a spell cast by the magic of Italy.
