Vincent works tirelessly to chase financial success, prestige and security for his family. A modern-day road warrior, seemingly at the top of his game, Vincent speeds between meetings and conferences, using his cell phone to enthusiastically share minute details of his professional life with his admiring wife Muriel. She has no idea that her husband is living a lie. The consulting company where he worked for years has dismissed him. And yet, to keep up a facade of productivity, the unemployed businessman withholds the news from his friends and loved ones and continues to go off to his now-nonexistent ?job,? spending days and nights in his car. He makes excuses about being tied up in phantom meetings, and even takes long business trips (at his own expense). Soon Vincent's deception takes on grander, more elaborate and fateful proportions, as he describes his glorious ascension to the status of special consultant to the United Nations ? and a relocation to Geneva. Digging himself in deeper and deeper, Vincent draws old schoolmates, companions ? and, of course, Muriel ? into dubious investment schemes to maintain the precious illusion. As the lines between fantasy and reality blur, Vincent faces a chilling dilemma, knowing that with truth there are terrible consequences. (In French with English subtitles)
