A story within a story within a story: Frank, a dot-comer, goes belly up with his techie partner Josh (Andrew McCarthy), and reluctantly moves home to plan his next ?millionaire? scheme. (Mom and Dad are Hayley Mills and Robert Vaughn ? fun.) While he flounders, he gets some mystical advice from chess-store owner, hookah-smoking Sal (John Turturro, doing another goofy character turn), and seeks out the premonitions of a she-wizard (played by Aida Turturro). As he touts his advertising idea, he?s led to stranger investors, and finally to a Russian steam room lorded over by Eugene (Michael Badalucco). Here Frank goes down the rabbit hole, and is revealed to be a greedy guy ready to do anything for money, while Josh still has some principles. They get into some tight situations until Dad comes to the rescue. A blackish comedy with an unusual structure, 2BPERFECTLYHONEST isn?t honest at all, but it is perfectly funny.
