Only 23 years old, Santiago is a grizzled veteran of war, having trained as a Navy Seal and fought against the Equadoran army, the Peruvian drug mafia and various terrorists. He only wants a normal life when he returns to the slums of Lima, but finds numerous obstructions. Friends in his position urge him to join them in a world of petty crime and street life, but Santiago resists. He chooses instead to drive a cab and learn computer programming, but inside he?s boiling. His marriage is failing not for lack of love, but because of his violent outbursts; his family keeps its distance. A psychological drama as well as a political message, the director says, ?I have had an opportunity to meet the real-life Santiago. He made me aware of the terrible indifference of my government and my society towards people who believed in their country.?
