A full-length English language animation starring a wisecracking boy named Till (the name of a well-meaning fool dating back to 16th-century Germany), his alchemist/magician grandfather, a girl named Nele who looks like Disney?s Snow White, a talking owl, a young king held hostage by his cruel aunt, and a doughy big boy baker who comes to Till?s rescue. As Till journeys to visit Boomstadt, the medieval town where his grandfather Marcus lives, there?s an explosion in his grandfather?s lab. At the same time, Boomstadt?s mayor is sending a beautiful mechanical egg to the king; it was made by his daughter Nele, who has plans to make Boomstadt a real town with schools, a library, and a hospital. Till causes all sorts of mischief in the town, and soon sets off on a quest to find his grandfather. On the journey he?s helped by the owl, the baker, and Nele. Will the young king realize bad things are being done in his name? Will Nele have to marry the evil captain of the guard? Will Till find his grandfather? Will Till and Nele act on their attraction to each other? Just sit back and see.
