Things can just go along smoothly, predictable and boring, until someone like Susie moves into the neighborhood, which gets the man named Bent all bent out of shape. Bent faithfully brings his father dinner every evening, never misses a day of work, and has for a long time gotten his hair cut at Frank?s barber shop. But Susie is a hairdresser and an aroma-therapist. She has big hands, a warm heart, and such a bad short-term memory that each meeting with Bent is brand new, as if they?d never met before. And she never remembers who she falls in love with. Bent gets some ideas, the first of which is that he?s at least going to change hairdressers. Frank the barber knows what?s going on, and the three characters enter into a frictional, comedic dance. This is a low-key, compassionate comedy with charming characters and universal problems.
