Be careful when you step into room 609. RAHTREE is the movie for you if you like your horror silly with a twist. It begins with a sweet, shy girl named Buppah who slinks to school and back home again, trying not to attract any attention. Though attractive, she dresses very matronly, unlike the freaks and rejects who populate her tenement, including the plus-size transvestites who run the first-floor beauty parlor, and the greedy landlord, Mrs. See. After a whirlwind romance with a rich frat-boy, Buppah is in love, and pregnant, something unacceptable to the boy?s parents. To Mrs. See?s dismay, Buppah becomes an intransigent ghost whose powers grow after each encounter with a trickster, shaman or priest. Everyone has moved out, yet something drags itself to room 609, and then the gore really begins.
