Benny and Christopher are very much in love. Students at the University of Akron, they meet during a football game and soon these beautiful young men are inseparable. Benny's very accepting family embraces his new lover. And when Christopher invites Benny to his mother's house in Florida for spring break, they set off with both families' blessings. On the eve of departure, Christopher makes a shocking discovery of a past tragic event involving their mothers. He struggles with the decision of whether to let Benny know, which could cause Benny and his family to relive the worst day of their lives. The two young lovers are about to discover how the distance between loyalty to your family and to the one you love can be as deep and wide as the Cuyahoga River. AKRON is a heart-tugging and romantic story of loss, forgiveness, and the wonderful insanity of family. –C.R.
