The good news is… Patrick has it all. He is handsome, runs a huge sporting goods store, and has a beautiful wife and children. His home has all the newest luxuries, including a dream kitchen and a pool. The bad news is... Patrick has it all. And all of it needs to be paid for, which is becoming a challenge. With his wife on sick leave and suppliers demanding payment, Patrick starts turning to porn sites and fantasizing about his wife's best friend. The great ideal of family and success is beginning to peel and fade as his family seems to need and demand more. Terrified to admit it, Patrick is facing the reality that he has premium-painted himself into a designer corner. Refreshingly honest and frank in its portrayal of sexual and familial confusion, LE MIRAGE is a wise, charming, and sometimes heart-breaking look at chasing dreams someone else has dreamed for you. Patrick is slowly waking, only to find the nightmare just beginning. (In French with subtitles) –C.R.
