Paul and Christine know their separation has devastated their 14-year-old daughter, Sarah. But enough to drive her to murder? Sarah and her girlfriend, Charlie, run into the woods after a fight. Chasing them, Paul finds Sarah alone at the edge of a huge dam. She confesses she has just pushed her friend to her death. Torn between the horrors of the confession and the crime's discovery, her parents opt to conceal the killing and maintain an appearance of normalcy. To what lengths will they go, however, as things slowly fall apart? Charlie's father is frantic at her disappearance, and the police are circling. More disturbing, Sarah knows the power this secret and her parents' guilt gives her. But there is another secret here, one that may be fueling a sinister game of revenge and manipulation. WE MONSTERS grips you from the start, slowly and mercilessly escalating the tension. It travels a dark and twisting road that ends where you'd least expect. (In German with subtitles) –C.R.
