BEAUTIFUL GARDEN

WORLD PREMIERE

Filmed in Cleveland, Ohio, BEAUTIFUL GARDEN is set against the backdrop of Lake Erie. A large old house on the beach has been taken over by squatters. They’re an odd mix of drifters, runaways, and anyone else who have found themselves homeless. From an abused teenager and a starving artist, to a young family impacted by the recession, there are over 15 people living here, with more coming and going every day. Also included in the bunch are junkies and drug dealers who do their best to hide their criminal activity from the others. At the helm of this strange commune is King, a creepy and mysterious man who lives in the attic. When one of the residents witnesses a murder in the backyard, their community begins to crumble. Greed and corruption have found their way into this utopia. It soon will come to light that their entire existence was based on a very dark secret. This entertaining crime-thriller is laced with romance and drama, skillfully weaving the stories of many characters into one cohesive and explosive finale. —E.F.
