The show must go on! Flighty Luigi has 24 hours to fulfill some long-overdue promises to salvage his theater by opening night. His loyal business partner Nawel has grown tired of cleaning up his messes. The stage crew threatens to strike until they are fairly paid. And he’s short one talented ape to take the stage tomorrow to please his director. Swept up in Luigi’s antics is outspoken intern Faeza, who joins Luigi when he takes to the streets of Paris to complete his lofty to do list. Fixed on getting home to her baby, Faeza attempts to stay on track, but Luigi has a knack for getting sidetracked. If they can survive a stint in zoo jail, get through a Congolese dance routine, and track down some money for the theater bankroll—all in a night’s work—Luigi could be the hero of the hour. Starring, written, and directed by the talented Édouard Baer, OPEN AT NIGHT offers laugh-out-loud moments of quick-witted humor and an entertaining adventure all the way to the final curtain call.
