Film Overview
Based on a true story of incredible courage and determination, A TEST OF LOVE is deeply affecting. 13-year-olf Annie's (Tina Arhondis) cerebral palsy has left her unable to speak or control her movements. Confined since the age of 3 in a state hospital, she is assumed to be severly retarded and forced to lead a vegetable-like existence – until Jessica (Angela Punch McGregor), a dedicated new teacher, helps her communicate via an alphabet board. Challenged by unbending medical and legal authorities who are unconvinced of Annie's intelligence, Jessica's battle to win Annie's release seems unsurmountable. Annie's amazing progress as she and her teacher beat the odds is exhilerating and emotionally satisfying beyond description.
