Film Overview

Be astounded, be simply astounded. Last year performers from the fantastical Canadian troupe Cirque de Soleil honored Cleveland by shooting part of their upcoming IMAX film “Journey of Man” here. We return the favor by presenting the first full-scale Cirque du Soleil feature film. Now, immerse yourself in a mesmerizing pageant of sumptuous images and music from a world not quite this one, but as this world could be. Momo, an orphan slave child forced to sell flowers in the eternal ghetto known as the Cauldron, has but one true friend, a disconsalate street mime named Frac. By saving Frac from committing suicide, Momo accidentally introduces the two of them to Alegria, a visiting circus of breathtaking acrobats, jugglers, clowns, and an enchanting girl singer, “the soul of the circus,” who also happens to be the imposing ringmaster's overprotected daughter. It is love at first sight for the maiden and Frac, but if that were all, our story would end right here, would it not? There are mountains to be climbed, dragons to be slain, and senses to be tantalized by the virtuoso magic of Cirque du Soleil. If you can tolerate one or two naughty words, suitable for all ages.
