About This Film
Film Overview
Maverick filmmaker Henry Jaglom's (“Sitting Ducks,” “Can She Bake a Cherry Pie”) 5th and most autobiographical film examines a failed marriage and stars Jaglom and his ex-wife, Patrice Townsend, as an about-to-be divorced couple. Their real-life friends and relatives play their counterparts in the film, show in the very house the Jagloms shared while married. Holed up together on a July 4th weekend, the estranged couple, a long-married couple and a pair about to be wed pursue each other amidst revealing and funny rap sessions. The partly improvised dialogue lends spontaneity and keeps you guessing where truth ends and fictions begins in this offbeat probe of 80s male/female relationships. Recommended for anyone considering love, marriage or divorce. Henry Jaglom will be in attendance.
