Film Overview

“If these walls could talk” takes on a most literal meaning in BLUFF. At the impending demolition of an old Montreal duplex, a member of the crew completes a last safety check and makes an unusual discovery. The discovery launches a review of the lives of the former tenants inhabiting the unit from 1990 through 2006. Julien (played by director Fecteau), an angst-ridden Ph.D. trying to find gainful employment…Michel and Josée, unraveling an art mystery… Nicholas and Céline, engineering a baby through unconventional means… Georges, an aging boxer holding onto the glory days… Patrice, the has-been thief wanting to end his “career” on a high-note… Motives build as the vignettes of each of the eccentric former occupants are revealed. Are these strange goings on or are these stories of everyday life? Drama behind closed doors unfolds in a journey of intrigue, suspense, tragedy, and comedy. Insider tip: Stay for the final scene after the credits. (In French with English subtitles) – CCP
