About This Film
Film Overview
On a vacation with his beautiful wife and young son, Bogdan realizes he really is living the life of an adult. Having to adjust to the demands of a family is more difficult that he thought. While on his weekend getaway, Bogdan runs into his still-single, irresponsible friends from school. After speaking with them (they called him BOOGIE) he is flooded with memories of the bachelor life he used to live. Reminiscing about the drinking trips and sexual adventures of his younger days, he yearns for the life he once had. Torn between his family and old friends, Bogdan chooses the latter. After a night of drinking, games, flirting, and prostitutes, Bogdan comes to a harsh realization: there is a major difference between what he wants to be doing and what he should be doing. His biggest decision is where should he go from here? Winner of the Best Screenplay at the Hamptons International Film Festival and Special Mention at the Palic Film Festival, BOOGIE is a dose of reality for a new generation. (In Romanian with English subtitles)-L.W.
