Film Overview
An entirely new sort of film about being macho, BROKEN NOSES focuses on Andy Minsker, a 25-year-old lightweight boxer who coaches teenage boys. Renowned fashion photographer Bruce Weber (famous for his seducuctive Calvin Klein ads) unleashes his camera on Minsker in his search to discover what makes the boxer pursue his passion. A provocative protaonist, Minsker reveals and conceals himself at the same time. It is impossible not to be taken by his raw appeal. This film is an imaginative examination of childhood and male bonding, a rich snapshot of small-town Americana, and a strikingly original ode to a fascinating young man. It will knock you out.
