Film Overview

On August 20, 1860, Robert Burke and William Wills set out from Melbourne to cross the great Australian continent with 17 men, 28 horses, 27 camels, 6 wagons and 21 tones of equipment and supplies. The citizens of Victoria, by public subscription, mounted the most adventurous expedition in their country's history to fill in the blanks on the map. The journey becomes an accomplishment for only one, who returns to tell their story. Exotic locations, visual splendor and strong acting make this epic adventure not only larger than life, but also emotionally stimulating.
