The story reveals what leads to Buster’s discovery and introduces us to Jonah, a struggling young night manager with a wife and child. Jonah meets a nameless stranger, a prophet of the Apocalypse, who warns Jonah of cosmic inversions and malignant conspiracies. When unthinkable tragedy shatters Jonah’s world, these seemingly unconnected narratives begin to reveal a disturbing pattern. Who is the man adrift at sea who mentally communicates with Buster?
