Film Overview
One of our most popular programs is always the presentation of the Cannes Advertising Festival winners. Some 4000 of the world's best commercials compete for prizes awarded by an international jury. The 80-odd (sometimes very odd) winners are compiled here for advertising types, couch potatoes on vacation, and anybody who enjoys their entertainment in doses under 60 seconds. As always, humor rules, though there are a number of spots dealing with some very serious subjects. Among the most impressive is a British Reebok ad featuring a guy blissfully jogging around the top of an unfinished skyscraper, truly harrowing to watch. So harrowing, in fact, that it was banned from British TV.
